2026 Election Results

Senate, House and governor race calls, checked for updates every minute. Every call names the news decision desk that made it. A projection is not an official result, and we never show invented vote counts.

How to read this board

Projected

A named news decision desk (AP, NBC News, CNN, ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, Decision Desk HQ or The New York Times) has projected the winner. We show which desk and when we posted it. Desks sometimes call races at different times.

Too close to call

Polls have closed but a desk says the margin is too narrow to project. Close races, ranked-choice contests (Alaska, Maine) and slow-counting states can take days. Alaska’s ranked-choice tabulation runs Nov. 18. See every state’s counting timeline →

Official result

Only state and local election officials certify results, usually weeks later. A projection is never a certification. How canvassing works (EAC).

Seat totals for the Senate include the 65 seats not on the ballot this year. House control appears only when a decision desk projects it; we track the most competitive House seats individually, not all 435. See the poll closing clock, the seat calculator and official voting resources.
